Configuring the Sound Detection feature in the AMLINK Pro app adds an extra layer of security by monitoring acoustic changes around your property. Unlike standard visual tracking, sound detection alerts you to events that might occur outside your camera's field of view, such as loud crashes, breaking glass, or shouting.
At the top of the menu, you will find the primary Sound Detection switch.
Toggling this feature on enables the camera's internal microphone to continuously listen for sudden or elevated noise levels. This is especially helpful for indoor monitoring or catching unexpected disruptions around quiet areas where visual motion might not be immediately visible.
Directly beneath the switch, you can fine-tune the Detection Sensitivity using a decibel-based slider with options ranging from 50dB to 90dB.
Setting the slider to a lower decibel level, such as 50dB or 60dB, makes the camera sensitive to quieter sounds like quiet talking or background shuffling. Raising the threshold to 80dB or 90dB ensures the camera only alerts you to extremely loud, sudden noises, like alarm chimes, yelling, or heavy impacts preventing unwanted notifications from normal household activity.
At the bottom of the screen, you can also toggle the Warning Light feature.
When enabled, the camera's built-in light will automatically turn on whenever a sound exceeds your chosen decibel threshold. This provides instant visual illumination in response to audio triggers, acting as a active deterrent against potential intruders during the night.
