The motion detection option will be enabled by default on your NVR for each camera connected to the device. However, if you would like to set up or modify these settings please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Log into the NVR directly or using the NVR's web user interface (web UI). For more information on how to access the web UI for your device, click here.
Step 2: Navigate to Camera>>Event>>Motion Detection to access the motion detection menu and disable the HVD option. This will allow the NVR to detect all motion events, not just human and vehicle events.
Step 3: The detection area will be set to record the entire area, however, to customize the detection area, click the Setting option in the Region field and use your mouse to set the detection areas. Click OK when finished.
Sensitivity: This slider determines how much pixel change is required to register as movement; a higher value makes the camera more responsive to small or distant motions.
Threshold: This setting defines the minimum amount of "total motion" (the size of the moving object) needed within the region to actually trigger an alarm or recording.
Step 4: A schedule can be set as well that will allow the device to only activate during specific days or times. Click the Setting option in the Schedule field and use your mouse to modify the schedule.
For instance, if you want the motion schedule to only apply between 6am and 6pm throughout the week, you can use your mouse to only have these times highlighted in the schedule. Click Copy to apply the schedule to different days of the week. Click Apply to save the motion detection schedule.
