Keeping the firmware on your NVR up to date is an important part of overall system health. For security purposes, it is highly recommended to upgrade the firmware on your device every time a new firmware is available. Step 1: Open a web browser and log into your device. For more information on how to access the web user interface (web UI) for your device, click here.
Step 2: Go to System>>System Maintain>>Upgrade. There are 2 ways to upgrade your device, manually using the File Upgrade option or Online Upgrade. To manually upgrade your NVR, click Browse and locate the .bin file. Once imported, click the Upgrade option and allow the the NVR to upgrade.
The Online Upgrade menu allows users to manage and install system software updates directly from the cloud to ensure the device remains secure and up to date. Automatic Detection: When enabled, the system will periodically check the manufacturer's server in the background to see if a newer firmware version is available. Notification for version update: This toggle determines whether the system will display a pop-up alert or icon to inform the user when a new update has been found. Manual Detect...: This button allows users to force an immediate check for updates rather than waiting for the next scheduled automatic scan.
